THE OLD PICKLE HOUSE IN KELSO (sleeps 6 + an additional drop down bed in lounge)

The charmingly named Old Pickle House is a hidden gem tucked just a few steps away from the picturesque cobbled market square of Kelso and right in the heart of some of the best Tweed salmon fishing on this world famous river system. Sleeping up to eight guests, this unique mews style house is a super choice for a family break, relaxing weekend or activity holiday, with all the benefits of town living right on the doorstep.

Originally part of the famous Pettigrews Pickle Factory, this characterful townhouse sits on four levels with a private roof terrace offering fantastic views over the rooftops to the Tweed, Springwood Park and Floors Castle beyond. Recently refurbished throughout, the design flair of the owner is evident, combining chic contemporary finishes along with characterful reminders which keep the history of the building alive.

THE ELMS IN KELSO (5 bedrooms sleeps 10)

A spacious, detached Georgian house offering guests the best of both worlds, The Elms is set in a delightful, private walled garden and yet Kelso's main square and the famous River Tweed are only a few minutes' walk from the house.

Furnished in a traditional, elegant style, The Elms offers ample entertaining space for larger parties with a separate formal dining room in addition to the dining kitchen. The snnoker room is also a great asset to families and large parties alike. Upstairs, the bedrooms are wonderfully light most with views over the garden, the Floors Castle Estate and the river beyond.

Outside, the beautifully-maintained, walled garden is fully-enclosed for the safety of dogs and children and provides plenty of space for children to play. An outside seating area provides the perfect spot for summery drinks or dinner ‘al fresco' in the summer months.
