The estate is a short drive from the sea, as well as the beautiful fishing villages of Coldingham, Eyemouth, and the Fortified town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The bustling, cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh, with its excellent shops, bars and fine restaurants, is just an hour’s drive north.
Guests visiting the estate have the pleasure of choosing from 6 fine accommodation establishments. The holiday cottages are all well-equipped, and renovated to provide comfortable accommodation. All of the properties include colour TV’s and microwaves, with each having their own natural spring water supply and access to most of the estates land, with lake a nature reserve. All guests have the option of dinner in the Castle’s dining room, by prior arrangement.

The holiday cottages available range from the unique Pavillion Lodge - a quaint, stone built lodge cottage comprising of a double bedroom, sleeping two people – to the impressive, Georgian St Mary’s House, complete with diamond-leaded windows. St Mary’s is able to sleep up to 10 people, plus an additional person using the sofa bed. Other attractive buildings include the quirky 3 bedroom Coach House, adjoined to St Mary’s yet self contained with own entrance and rear grounds. The light an airy White House is tucked away next to the old walled garden and features spacious open plan living and sitting room with flame gas fire.
The aptly named Azalea cottage, set within wonderful mature shrubbery and a plethora of Azaleas, is able to sleep 4 guests and features a well-equipped kitchen, complete with breakfast bar. Another delightful property is Carriage Mews, a traditional stone built holiday cottage consisting of double, twin and single bedrooms.
